Living in a small town like Beacon has many perks. But even if it’s just a visit, that homey feeling will always resonate with you. Each year, the City of Beacon dazzles when the main street lights are wrapped in garland and wreaths– and the annual tree lighting organized by many Beacon native organizations (The City of Beacon, Beacon Arts, Beacon Music Factory, Beacon Hebrew Alliance) is a true show for what Beacon is all about.

Sounds amazing, right? A small town Christmas getaway is exactly what brings that holiday spirit to life these days, especially with the whole family together. This little corner of the Hudson Valley has so much to offer– on top of Dawn Sela Photography’s Santa Experience!

Hungry for more than Santa’s cookies? Beacon not only offers holiday cheer on every corner, but there are some incredible restaurants right in the heart of the city. We’ve referred clients to some of our favorites:

Melzingah Tap House, Brother's Trattoria, Yankee Clipper Diner and the Hudson Valley Food Hall – among other amazing options. Schmuck's home made waffle sundaes and cinnamon cones are always a favorite!

Good food, great experiences, and unforgettable memories. Beacon is a great place to come explore, but what is going to convince you to plan this getaway? That's where our Santa Experience comes in. Dawn Sela Photography has created the most magical Santa experience for families not only in the Hudson Valley, but for anyone wanting to experience true holiday spirit in this amazing small town. Families have traveled far and wide to create these traditions, traveling from the Finger Lakes, Connecticut, Long Island, New Jersey and Florida, to name a few! For them, it’s not just about a picture with Santa. It’s about capturing the joy in beautiful heirloom pieces for years to come. The experience of exclusive time in the studio with Santa, music, and fun is just the beginning of the magic that comes with this special session.

Even after living in Beacon for nearly a decade, I will always be constantly amazed by the community that makes this town a perfect spot to enjoy. Year round there's joy to share, but yes- spending the holidays at home definitely holds a special place in my heart!

Having a destination getaway to follow our Santa Experience is a brilliant way to make memories the whole family can enjoy. And when you return home… you’ll be that much closer to seeing the magic that was created in the studio! These photos are why so many have traveled all the way to this tiny corner of the Hudson Valley. It’s an absolute privilege to be located in such an upcoming and inviting city, and adds that extra special touch to our experience.

Although this season is coming to a close as the new year arises, Santa is already prepared for next year! Starting in January, we will be booking sessions for the 2024 holiday season.

Elke Hofmann - Hi! I've been looking for Santa portraits and this looks awesome (and we go up the Hudson valley to go hiking all the time). Prices aren't listed - before I get too excited, I wanted to see if these are in my price range... Are the pricing options /ballpark listed anywhere? Ty!
